SUMMER 2020
posted Jun 15, 2020, 7:51 AM
Below is the link to our Summer 2020 schedule. You'll notice that there is no Star Academy or CanPowerSkate, which are programs that have run during our summer programming in the past. Skate Canada has directed all skating clubs/schools to suspend these programs until further notice.

Registration will open shortly for Summer 2020. Everyone will receive an email, and we will post on Facebook to let you know.
Now is also time to check your skater's equipment! Get their skates our and check if they fit. We've been off the ice for 3 months at this point. Please don't leave it until the first day of skating to find out that skates are too small. If your skates are too small, please contact Mr B to arrange a fitting and order, or contact Dave at Blade Runner.
Thanks for bearing with us while we sort through our plan.
SUMMER 2020 RESTART

We are pleased to confirm that we have secured ice for our Summer 2020 skating season! Things will look and run a little different when we resume, but we want to get the preliminary information our to our skating clan so you can plan ahead as best as possible:
Glengarry SC Summer 2020 (McLaren Park Arena)
July 6 - August 28 (Monday - Friday)
Primary StarSkate (A); 7:30am-9:30am
Int/Sr StarSkate & CompetitiveSkate (A); 8:20am-10:45am
Primary StarSkate (B); 9:45am-11:45am
Int/Sr StarSkate & CompetitiveSkate (B); 10:35am-1:00pm
(CanPowerSkate sessions are on hold)
Sessions are currently limited to only 8 skaters on each, so we will be doing a staggered registration, where you can sign your skater up for one session each week (either A or B), and then if there is still space 48 hours later you will be able to secure the 2nd session. Registration will open in a couple of days. We'll send out email notification and post on Facebook to let you know when.
Do we still have i's to dot and t's to cross? Yup, we sure do. We want to be sure we're opening in the best manner possible to ensure the well-being of our skaters, parents, coaches, and facility operators. We'll be working with the City of Penticton to get our club organized, and keep the flow in McLaren smooth.
We hope you and your family are doing well. We're looking forward to seeing you all in the very near future.
